Alex Miller

Founder and Principal

Alex began lobbying in 2006 and has built Alex Miller Government Affairs into a leading lobbying and political consulting firm, ranked among the “10 Most Powerful Lobbyists in North Carolina”. Prior to founding the firm, he served as an Infantry Squad Leader in the United States Army and a direct practice Social Worker. He holds a Bachelors in Social Work from Pacific Lutheran University and a Masters of Social Work with a focus in Public Policy from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Cassidy Whitley

Director of Government Relations

Recognized as one of North Carolina’s “Leading Lobbyists” by Business NC and NC Tribune, Cassidy has been with Alex Miller Government Affairs since 2018.

Prior to joining the firm, Cassidy attended East Carolina University, where she interned in the office of North Carolina Congressman Walter B. Jones and earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science with a minor in Communications. During her time at ECU, Cassidy was a member of the National Political Science Honor Society, a Golden LEAF Scholar, and a founding member of the Golden LEAF Scholars Leadership Program.

Cassidy currently serves on the Board of the North Carolina Professional Lobbyists Association. She is a proud Eastern North Carolina native.
